Yesterday I was testing our new workstation, bought for stochastic calculus for finance.
A good HP Z800 with 2xIntel Xeon (for a total of 8 cores), 24 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA Quadro FX 580 (512 MB).

Too bad this gfx card is entry level for 3D: this morning I installed GTA IV and tried to play, and the overall results were not bad for single player, but even @640x480 the multiplayer experience was too laggy.

Damn.
